Gödri Orban graduated from the ‘Ciprian Porumbescu’ Music Academy in Bucharest, where his main bassoon teacher was Professor Gh. Cuciureanu. Professors Francisc Laszlo, Radu Chișu, and Au- rel Niculescu were his mentors in orchestra and chamber music studies. Gödri Orban has participated in master classes with Professor Romano Santi in Italy. He has won numerous prizes in musical competitions, as well as national awards, and in 2004 he was awarded the Medal of Cultural Merit, 2nd class, by the President of Romania. Gödri Orban has performed as a soloist with several orchestras in Romania (Bacău, Constanța, Si-biu, Iași, București) and abroad (France, Italy, Japan, USA). He has made several radio and CD recordings as a member of different chamber music ensembles. Gödri Orban is currently the solo bassoon player in the George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra of Bucharest. Since 2010, he is an Associate Professor within the bassoon department of the National University of Music, Bucharest. The educational and cultural project MUSICA KRONSTADT (www. academyofmusic.eu) is honored to have had him as bassoon and chamber music teacher for the 5th consecutive year.
