Gabriel was born in Deva in 1969 and began studying the trumpet in his hometown with teacher Mihai Jereb and graduated from the “ION VIDU” Music High School in Timișoara in 1987.
He graduated from the “GH.DIMA” Music Academy in Cluj in 1995, where he studied with Gheorghe Mușat and Alexandru Marc.

He is currently Associate Professor. of ANMGD Cluj, where he coordinates the academy’s trumpet class.
He worked in numerous orchestras:
– since 1989 member of the orchestra of the Hungarian Opera in Cluj

– since 1993 solo trumpet at the “Transilvania” Philharmonic from Cluj
– from 1999 solo trumpet of the Borusan Philharmonic in Istanbul
He collaborated with various orchestras from the country and abroad and participated in numerous international festivals: LONDON PROMS, FRANCE-MUSIQUE,
SALZBURGER FESTSPIELE, ISTANBUL MUSIC FESTIVAL, HONG KONG MUSIC FESTIVAL, GEORGE ENESCU FESTIVAL

ONYX CLASSICS, DEUTSCHE GRAMOPHONE
As a soloist, he performed concerts in Romania, Slovenia, Germany, Switzerland, and Turkey.
