Born in Brasov, Alexandra Ioana Ducariu began studying piano at the Brasov Arts High School under the guidance of Professor Corina Ibănescu. She continued her studies at the “G. Verdi” Conservatory in Milan, with Professor Cristina Frosini, and obtained a diploma for completing her piano studies with the highest grades. Over time, she participated in masterclasses with Jerome Rose, Filippo Gamba, Jean-Marc Luisada, and Jeffrey Swann. Alexandra Ducariu has received numerous awards in various national and international competitions, including the Special Prize at the “Bach” Piano Competition (Romania), 1st Prize at the “Gianni Pozzato” Music Competition (Italy), 1st Prize at the “Konzerteum” International Competition (Greece), 2nd Prize at the “Pro Piano” International Competition (Romania), 1st Prize at the “Rotary” Chamber Music Competition (Italy), and 1st Prize at the “Villa Oliva” International Competition (Italy). As an artist, Alexandra enjoys an active concert schedule worldwide, having been invited to perform at various festivals both as a soloist and with orchestras. She is actively engaged in a piano/voice duo with soprano Hsiao Pei Ku and with her sister, flutist Teodora Ducariu. Currently, she works as an instrumental accompanist at the G. Verdi Conservatory in Milan and teaches piano at the Academia di Musica e Danza, Villa Guardia, Como. The educational and cultural project MUSICA KRONSTADT (www.acad- emyofmusic.eu) is honored to have her as a collaborative pianist for its editions in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2024.
