Bianca Fiorito

Second flute/piccolo at the Munich Philharmonic

At the age of only fifteen, Bianca Fiorito graduated from the Santa Cecilia Academy, the Scato- la Sonora Academy in Rome, the Music Academy in Fiesole, the “Académie Supérieure de Mu- sique” in Strasbourg (France) and the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg (Austria) with Prof. M.M. Koffler. In 2021, she won by competition the post of second flute and piccolo with the Münchner Philharmonic Orchestra, with Valery Gergiev as principal conductor. She has been awarded international and national prizes, including the S. Gazzelloni International Flute Competition, the C. Abbado Competition, the Adriana Giannuzzi Competition, the XX Rotary International Competition, the Virtuoso of London International Music Grand Prize, the AudiMozart International, the International Krakamp flute, Stoutzker Prize Mozarteum Salzburg. In 2019, she received the “Windtex Excellence Award” from the Gaspari Foundation in Verona, given each year to a different rising Italian musician. As a soloist, Bianca performed with orchestras in Italy, France, and Switzerland, such as the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento, the Orchestra Musici di Parma, the Rotary Chamber Orchestra, the Baroccoli Kammerorchester in Zurich, the Orchestra Sym- phonyque d’Haguenau, the Appassionata Orchestra in Verona, the Residenz Solisten Bavaria Klassik, Odeon Jugendorchester München. She participated in important festivals on the international scene, playing at the Wiener Musikverein, Philharmonie de Paris, Carnegie Hall, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Festspielhaus Salzburg and collaborating with artists such as A. Nelsons, R. Muti, A. Pappano, Z. Mehta. , L. Shani, V. Gergiev, P. Järvi, L. Kavakos.
