Born in Romania in 1985, Florian began his musical studies at the age of 7 in the Music School in his hometown, Ploiești. Since 2000 he attended the Music Lyceum “George Enescu” in Bucharest, where he studied with Prof. Ileana Busuioc. He completed then his studies at the Universität “Mozarteum” in Salzburg with Prof. Cordelia Höfer-Teutsch for his Bachelor’s, as well as under the guidance of Prof. Imre Rohmann for his Master’s. Florian has been awarded several prizes in national and international competitions, both for piano and composition, among them: national competitions in Suceava, Ploiești, Braila, and Bucharest and international competitions in Romania, Belgium, Austria, and Italy. He performed in Romania, Austria, Germany (Berliner Philharmonie), Switzerland, and Italy and attended Masterclasses with Serghei Dorensky, Lory Wallfish, Lisa Leonskaya, Vinicius Moroianu, Trevor Pinock, Rolf-Dieter Arens. He collaborated with international artists such as Wenzel Fuchs, Enrico Bronzi, Paolo Taballione, and Ionuț Podgoreanu. Florian is part of the ensemble CantoSonor where he sings as a baritone. He is active also as a soloist, having performed Concertos by Mozart, Chopin, and Rachmaninov with various orchestras. Since 2013 he has been working as a piano accompanist for the wind department of the Universität “Mozarteum” in Salzburg.
