Tibor Reman is a graduate of the “Sigismund Toduță” High School of Music in Cluj-Napoca, the “Gheorghe Dima” Academy of Music in Cluj-Napoca, the “Franz Liszt” Academy of Music in Budapest, the University of Arts in Berlin and was a scholarship holder of the Orchestra Academy at the “Staatska- pelle Berlin”. He won prizes at the “Jeunesses Musicales” International Competitions in Bucharest, the “Wiener Classic Prize” in Semmering, and the “Yamaha Woodwind Competition” in Germany. He was a permanent collaborator of the “Budapest Festival Orchestra”, and “West-Eastern Divan” and between 2008 – 2010 he performed as co/principal clarinetist with the State Orchestra/State Opera in Hanover, Germany. Since 2010, he has been the first clarinetist soloist of the famous “Staatskapelle Berlin”. He has performed under the baton of conductors such as Sir Simon Rattle, Zubin Mehta, Gustavo Dudamel, Andris Nelsons, Antonio Pappano, Jannick Nezet Seguin, etc. in the most important festivals and concert halls in the world, such as: “Salzburger Festspiele”, “BBC Proms”, “Lucerne Festival”, “Musikverein Wien”, “Carnegie Hall” in New York, “Suntory Hall” in Tokyo, “Philharmonie de Paris” etc. and can be heard on recordings produced by Decca or Deutsche Grammophon. He is also a member of the Staatskapelle Berlin Wind Quintet and a permanent member of the chamber ensemble “Boulez En- semble Berlin”. Intense chamber music activity as a partner of international first-rate soloists such as Daniel Barenboim, Lahav Shani, Dennis Kozhukhin, Emmanuel Pahud, Mathieu Dufour, Radek Babo- rak, Wolfgang Böttcher, Astrig Siranossian, Mojca Erdmann, Martin Helmchen, etc. Since 2010, Tibor Reman has been a university lecturer at the University of the Arts in Berlin and a mentor at the “Staatskapelle Berlin” Orchestra Academy.
